Pulse: Chapter 2Chapter 2: Trouble Shooting the Family   
Enjoy your visit, Act said once it pulled up outside her old family home.  
   "Yeah, sure," Essa sighed heavily as she looked out the window. This was going to be a rather long visit, and not time wise. The house was built from auburn cedar and was three stories. Situated in what was considered the rural parts of Capitol it was surrounded by an acre of land. The genetically enhanced trees that were dotted throughout purified the air so well that it made Essa feel slightly dizzy as climbed out of the car.

 BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!     "Bloody hell," Essa cursed sleepily as she rolled over and hit her alarm clock. The hologram clock flickered and continued to scream out its wake-up tune. Growling, Essa kicked off her sheets and pounded her fist down on the clock, finally silencing it.   
 "Damn technology," she muttered, dragging herself from the bed to the bathroom. Stripping off, Essa stepped into the shower and waited the couple of seconds it took for the shower to sense her muscle tension and body heat before it showered her with jets of boiling water.  Machines buzzed and hummed as they began to create a new life. Fine tooth needles threaded artificial skin, whilst serrated blades and sharp clawed hands constructed the skeleton from the strongest and lightest carbon fibre material in existence. Experts in robotics as well as physiological specialists from across the world watched behind the bullet proof glass, waiting in trepidation.  
 
 Decades of research and experimentation were being tested to the limit in the room beyond. The machines that were currently at work had been created especially for this job. And after years of failure, the Pulse: Prologue

So, here are some more witticisms for those who liked the others :)


• When childhood dies, its corpses are called adults and they enter society, one of the politer names of hell
• I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me
• The nice thing about egoists is that they don't talk about other people
• Never underestimate the power of human stupidity
